The state funds over 700 million yuan to support the construction of high-quality cotton bases in Xinjiang
Learned from the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region: Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission issued an investment of 706 million yuan within the central budget of our region to support the construction of high-quality cotton bases and soybean production bases in our region and promote the improvement of arable land in our regionQualityand comprehensive agricultural production capacity.
It is reported that the above funds support 600,000 acres of high-quality cotton base and 50,000 acres of soybean production base in our district. The Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region will, in accordance with the “Special Management Measures for Investment in Central Budget for Hiding Grain in the Ground and Hiding Grain in Technology”, break down and release the investment plan as soon as possible, promote the start of the project, and improve the quality and efficiency of project construction; in accordance with the “Xinjiang High-Quality Cotton Base Construction Plan ( 2021-2025)”, optimize the cotton production layout in our region, enhance the comprehensive cotton production capacity, promote cotton quality and efficiency, and ensure national cotton security; launch the construction of Xinjiang soybean production bases and promote the improvement of production levels in advantageous soybean producing areas.
At the same time, all localities are encouraged to innovate investment and financing systems and mechanisms on the basis of actively striving for investment within the central budget, attract all types of social capital to participate in the construction and management of high-quality cotton bases and soybean production bases, improve investment and construction standards, and promote cotton and soybeans.
