The construction of the sericulture germplasm resource protection bank in Yulin City, Guangxi has begun
Recently, reporters learned from the Guangxi Yulin City Sericulture Technology Extension Station that Yulin City decided to build a sericulture germplasm resource protection library as a new place to carry out scientific research work such as sericulture variety resource protection and breeding of new varieties. At present, the construction of the protection library project has started recently, and the pile foundation construction has begun.
This project is located on the northwest side of the intersection of Renmin East Road and Jinjiling Road in Yulin City. The total estimated investment of the project is 6.2969 million yuan, and the total planned land area of the project is 2,000 square meters. A new scientific research building has been built, covering an area of 400 square meters, and is a 5-story building above ground. The main construction contents include civil engineering, decoration and decoration engineering, indoor water supply and drainage engineering, indoor electrical engineering, indoor fire protection engineering, etc.
It is understood that Yulin City’s silkworm quality research and development level and silkworm seed output are among the best in Guangxi. There are currently three qualified silkworm seed production enterprises in Guangxi, two of which are located in Yulin, and the total annual silkworm seed production accounts for more than 80% of Guangxi’s total. The Yulin Sericulture Technology Promotion Station currently maintains more than 100 sericulture variety resources. Among them, “Yu Can No. 1” and “Yu Can No. 2” were approved by the Guangxi Crop Variety Approval Committee in 2013, and “Yu Can No. 3” Obtained the district’s scientific and technological achievements registration certificate in 2017.
