Ningnan, Sichuan: More than 120 inspections and guidance to support the joint breeding of spring silkworms
In order to strengthen technical guidance and promote the standardized management of co-incubation rooms, since the ant collection on April 12, Xiyao Town, Ningnan County, Sichuan Province has established 5 inspection teams to inspect 21 co-incubation rooms in the town. We have carried out more than 120 follow-up guidance and supervision inspections on spring silkworm co-breeding technology.
“Your mulberry leaves are improperly stored and must be rectified immediately…” Each inspection team found during the inspection that they did not operate according to technical regulations, did not implement full prevention of drying, five-box incubation, improper storage of mulberry leaves, or Quality was criticized for being too old and other issues, and 28 issues were urged to be rectified.
“The silkworms of Jingsong Variety characteristics, habits, climatic factors, etc., and technical guidance was provided on common disease prevention and control measures for spring silkworms, treatment of small silkworms during their dormant period, and farmers’ breeding of large silkworms.
It is reported that 514.5 spring silkworm seeds were ordered in Xiyao Town, an increase of 92.9 from the same period last year, with a target production of 500 tons of cocoons. At present, the spring silkworms in each village have entered the first dormant period one after another. The individuals are neat and uniform, the silkworm bodies are strong, and the overall growth is good, laying a good foundation for the smooth start of the sericulture industry in 2022.
